Life Updates

Well, to start off I have been swamped with school. I am taking several extremely hard classes this semester. The wonderful news is that I made a 96% on my Calculus 2 exam. It was the first exam of the semester and (in my opinion) my hardest class, so I was VERY excited. For my first time, I am taking a hybrid class. A hybrid class is where it is half online and half in a classroom. I am not sure how I feel about it yet, because if you don't check online every day, you can fall behind extremely quickly. I finished a paper for it on Monday, and it went great!

I have been going on some very fun adventures recently. For my birthday I went to Charleston. I traveled with my boyfriend and family and loved it. Charleston is such beautiful city. My favorite part was lunch at a really cute local restaurant. I had a salad with strawberries and other fruits and loved it. We also traveled nearby to an art museum as seen in the photo above.

In my sorority, we just finished recruitment a few weeks ago. It went great and I am so thrilled to be introducing new members into our chapter. I feel older and older every recruitment, but with that comes a lot of learning. I have definitely learned better how to communicate with other people, and also how to be extremely open with the things I love. My favorite part of recruitment is sharing with the PNM's (potential new members) what I love about my sorority. I get to talk about what we do to contribute to the community and how we contribute on a national level.

I am so happy to share this with ya'll!

Asheville Trip

Monday, August 29, 2016

My last trip of the summer! I had so much fun getting to visit the beautiful city of Asheville with my family and boyfriend. While there, we went on tons of adventures.
Our first adventure was rafting down the Nantahala River (very cold!). I got to visit a little nature center as well and LOVED the otters. They were so cute and came right up to the glass!
We also went and saw several waterfalls which you could swim at. I didn't care how cold the water was, it was so worth it!
In the evenings my boyfriend and I went out looking for different viewpoints to photograph (my favorite: the last photo).

Overall it was such a fun trip, hope you all enjoyed!

Maine Trip: Part 3

Friday, July 22, 2016

Welcome to Part 3 of my trip to Maine! If you haven't seen them yet here is Part 1 and Part 2.

The first photos are at one of the many lighthouses that we visited. I'm not going to lie, the rocks reminded me of The Little Mermaid (my favorite Disney movie) and it was absolutely beautiful. I climbed all the way to the edge of the point to watch the waves, and they were huge! We also visited the botanical garden. I was so excited to see that Peonies were in bloom, as they are my favorite flower. It was the perfect day to be there; it was sunny but not hot.

Hope you enjoyed,

Maine Trip: Part 2

Wednesday, July 6, 2016

We decided to visit the easternmost point of the US while in Maine. It was my favorite place that we visited while on the trip. When we arrived, we saw a porcupine (which I had never seen before) and I was so excited, so we followed it. The way that it waddled was the cutest darn thing ever.

The beach at the eastern most point was very different than any beach I've ever seen. There was no sand, just cliffs and rocks, and even an itty bitty waterfall. Needless to say I collected rocks, seashells, and sea-glass for my adventure jar.

We were able to climb out onto some of the rocks and cliffs that jetted out into the ocean. This was what made the easternmost point my favorite. You could look straight down the rock into the water and watch all the seaweed and sea-life. Even with all of the fog it was one of my favorite views

Photos 5 and 6 were taken at Acadia National Park. It is hard to tell from the photos, but because of the storm clouds the water kept changing to the most beautiful colors. We were able to really far out on the rocks and watch the GIANT waves.

The last three photos were at a local restaurant where we had dinner. I had lobster, muscles, corn, and (of course) lots of butter. The food was delicious and afterwards we walked out onto the dock to admire all of the boats.

I hope you all enjoyed!

Maine Trip: Part 1

I decided the best way to share this trip with you guys is as a series of posts. My boyfriend, his mother, and I stayed in a beautiful cabin on the water for a little over a week.We ate tons of lobster and drank a lot of local sodas. Exploring so many places along the coast was amazing and an experience I'll never forget.

(view from our cabin)

We flew into New Hampshire on Friday very late and spent the night at a hotel there. My favorite part of the hotel was the 24/7 coffee(haha). The next day we drove to our cabin in Maine. The drive was so scenic, and we made tons of stops along the way.

One of the stops was for my boyfriend's mom at an adorable local yarn convention. There were so many cool hand-made things there, including soft sweaters, and beautiful soaps. My favorite part, however, were all of the alpacas, lambs, and bunnies that you could pet.

We also stopped at a Maritime museum on our way to the cabin. It was comprised of several fishing houses that were so rustic and beautiful. They had tons of old boating paintings and artifacts as well as some actual boats.

I don't have any photos of it, but that cabin was adorable. We were right on the water and had our own dock as well. I loved being able to step outside in the mornings with the beautiful view pictured above.

Long time, no see!

Hello again all, I am back from my long absence! I had to take a break due to school and focus on my studies, but I am so excited to be back with you guys! During my absence I have gotten to go on tons of adventures and try new things (and of course studied) which I will be sharing with you. Some of which are kayaking, a couple of trips, and I also cut my hair short!

I spent my spring break visiting family and with my boyfriend, which was TONS of fun. We hiked, shopped in antique stores, visited the zoo (pictured above), explored caves, made milkshakes, and tons of other fun things. It was very relaxing having a break from school and being around people who cared about me.

One of my very best friends got engaged and married! It was so much fun getting to see her go through the wedding process(and seeing her pick out her gorgeous dress). I was so flattered to be chosen as her Maid of Honor. She had the most beautiful ceremony and I loved getting to be there for her on her special day. The photo above is us at her bridal shower.

I was fortunate enough to go on the most beautiful trip to Maine (I am saving those photos for the upcoming posts). I have never experienced anything like it. We went hiking almost every day, as well as made several road trips. I saw TONS of lighthouses (and chipmunks) and I can't wait to share it with you guys!

This is my sister and I at my sororities Founder's Day brunch. For those of you that don't know, Founder's Day is a huge deal for sororities and we usually have a luncheon. We invite the important women in our lives as our guests to show what our sisterhood is about. This was my first year being able to attend and I absolutely loved it! Plus the food was on point...

The very last photo is my crazy kitty cat, Smokey, spending the day at work with me. If you couldn't tell from his expression, he was thrilled.
