Savannah Guide

Places to Eat:
Marche De Macarons
Many of you who know me, know that macarons are my favorite sweet treat. These are the best I have ever had! They are always fresh and have seasonal flavors as well.

Little Duck Diner
Little Duck Diner has fantastic cheeseburgers and milkshakes. They have cute twists on classic lunch items and in their drinks they include a little rubber ducky! The design is a modern take on an old style diner.

This is the best rooftop bar in Savannah. The drinks are good, but the Peregrin has the prettiest view of Savannah, you can see it below. I love going here just for the view!

Flying Monk Noodle Bar
When I worked downtown I used to order take-out here all the time. I love their Na Na Noodle bowl with shrimp. I cannot say enough good things about this place.

Zunzi's
This is a South African themed take-out restaurant. I love it for their unique tea and excellent gluten-free options!

Ardsley Station is a cute little restaurant right off of Victory Drive. My favorite food to get here is their shrimp and grits.

Java Burrito has been a fantastic lunch spot for my husband and I since they accommodate both of our tastes. They have burrito bowls on one side and a coffee bar on the other side.

The Vault
This restaurant is located near the Starland Distract of Savannah. It is a beautiful restaurant that has an old bank vault inside (hence the name). My favorite part of the restaurant is, if you are able to get a seat on their inside porch section, you get a great view of the old oak trees.

Treylor Park is located right in the middle of downtown. I love going here with friends to get their nachos. Instead of chips they use waffle fries.

I went here to celebrate graduating from college with my husband a few years ago. The food is excellent, I love their shrimp and grits.

The Crab Shack
My family has been coming here for years. I highly recommend the Captain's platter, plus if you go to the 'Gift Shack' here, you may meet some friendly cats. Below is a photo from their dock.

The Sugar Shack | Tybee
Although it is small, the ice cream and milkshakes are fantastic. I recommend getting a chocolate milkshake here.

River Street Sweets
This one is a little touristy, but I stop in every time I'm downtown. My favorite thing to get is their pralines and they usually have samples!

Favorite Coffee Shops:
The Paris Market
Inside this store is a little French coffee shop and bakery. Sometimes I will go on coffee dates here with a friend or my sister.

This coffee shop has excellent home-made gluten free bread. They also have lots of space for work and studying. Below is a photo from Origin. I love how they incorporated both modern décor and kept the older architectural details.

Savannah Coffee Roasters
I highly recommend an iced white chocolate mocha with raspberry syrup. I am not sure if they have a white chocolate mocha on the menu, however they made me one once and it was the best cup of coffee I've ever had.

Foxy Loxy Cafe
I was looking for a new coffee shop to try recently and found this one. In addition to an interesting selection of coffee drinks, they have tacos and alcoholic drinks.

Mirabelle Cafe & Suites
My favorite part of Mirabelle's is their wallpaper. This coffee shop is so beautiful and has a great view of the Cathedral across the street. My favorite drink here right now is a lavender latte. If you are also looking for good Instagram spots, this is the place!

The Gryphon Tea Room is located in a stunning building off of one of the squares downtown. SCAD has done an amazing job of preserving the old architecture here both inside and out. They have both good coffee and tea, plus desserts!

This café is located directly off of Bay Street. Outside, it has a great view of the Savannah River and is located at one of my favorite parts of the city.

Tybean Art and Coffee | Tybee
I have tried a lot of local coffee shops and this is by far the best. They even have a live-in cat named Bean. I highly recommend trying a scone and their dirty chai latte.

Franklin's is a beautiful coffee shop in the middle of downtown. They have a stunning mural painted around their walls and the coffee is excellent.

Places to Shop:
The Future on Forsyth
This is a vintage clothing store and the prices are incredible. Definitely worth a stop in next time you visit Forsyth Park.

This is a small beauty and lifestyle store in downtown Savannah. I have tried several of their beauty products as well as some coffee they carry.

The Paris Market
I added this to the above coffee shops, but this is also a very cute little local store. They have products from all over the world, gorgeous seasonal décor, beautiful books, and a little bakery as well.

 Courtland and Co
A friend of mine and I have found some of the best shops stretched along Whitaker street and Courtland and Co is no exception! I love their home decor.

One Fish Two Fish
Another great store on Whitaker is One Fish Two Fish. They have some of the cutest accessories and trinkets!

Brighter Day Food Market
This is a fantastic local grocery store. They have a wide variety of gluten free foods (and food that accommodates many other dietary restrictions) and fresh made smoothies, as well as a lot of unique foods, beauty products, and vitamins.

A Chocolate Dream
I am a huge fan of chocolate! I love this little store located on Broughton Street.

Things to Do:
Telfair Art Museum
For Valentine's Day, my husband buys us yearly passes to this art museum. It is a three part museum: The Telfair, The Jepson, and The Owens-Thomas House. My favorite is the Telfair, which features classic paintings.

Forsyth Park
One of my favorite evening activities is to go by Forsyth during the week. Most people recognize it for the fountain, but there are tons of other things around it. The Mansion hotel and Brighter Day that I have linked are right off of Forsyth, as well as a Collins Quarter location.

Bonaventure Cemetery
This is known as one of the most beautiful cemeteries in the world.

Old Sheldon Church Ruins
Even though it is a little out of the way, this is one of my favorite places to visit! It is so gorgeous, it is frequently used for engagement photos and weddings.

Walking Around the Squares
Savannah is laid out like a grid so it is very easy to walk around the squares. It is one of the prettiest parts of the city. Each square is just a little bit different. The best time to see them is during Azalea season.

Fort Pulaski
Located near Tybee, Fort Pulaski is a beautiful national monument. As well as being able to go inside the fort, there are some walking trails along the water and people love bringing their dogs.

Special Places to Stay:
The Kimpton Brice
A new favorite of mine, I was recently invited to tour the renovated Kimpton Brice. This hotel is located on Bay Street near shopping on Broughton and dining downtown.

The Mansion
The Mansion is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been in. It is gorgeous and located conveniently right next to Forsyth Park.

The Bohemian
They have an amazing rooftop bar and are located on Bay Street

Beachview Bed and Breakfast | Tybee
The cutest B&B on Tybee! I toured it during the Tybee tour of homes and fell in love.
